Awards
In comparison with earlier times, and probably due to the evolution of the digital world, there are much awards to be earned.
When you make contacts in a digimode with e.g. 100 different countries, you can apply for a digital award.
In order to keep an overview of what awards you have earned there is a nice piece of freeware available: UltimateAAC. After installation, you just have to upload your .adif file (Amateur Data Interchange Format which is made by most logging programs) and the software will automatically search for the awards available to you and sends a message to the corresponding organisation to apply for that award. After verification you can download your digital award from their servers.
Besides this, you can earn an award after having a contact with a special event station (commemoration, rare prefixes etc.) or for having participated to a hamradio contest.
At the start of March 2026 I already earned at least 34 awards for contacts in FT8 and SSB. You can see all of them and in full format by clicking on the image below.
